In an intriguing blog post entitled Michigan Democrats - Don’t Throw Your Vote Away - Vote for Ron Paul, PrimarilyPaul.com is reporting that the Democratic National Committee is stripping Michigan Democrats of all their 156 delegates.
A little sleuthing via Google News and the story does indeed appear to be true. The DNC stripped all of Michigan's delegates as punishment for holding their primary before February 5th :
Democratic primary a waste of money
In Michigan, some campaigning amidst confusion
It took no time for the Ron Paul supporters to capitalize on this amazing opportunity. The online forums are ablaze with ideas on how to get the word out. Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate to oppose the War in Iraq, and as such, disenfranchised Michigan Democrats would be well poised to make their vote count by voting for an anti-war Republican candidate.
The real story here is that once again it has fallen upon the bloggers to break this story about the lost delegates. Where is the major media coverage? If this story turns out to be true, which so far it seems to be, it will illustrate once more how corporate media is destroying the democratic process by suppressing information. Such attacks against democracy are one of the primary reasons I decided to start startplane.
